Ashmaul strongbox4/15/2023 Most of this has been fixed now, and Ashran seems a bit different. There was also an extra 500 conquest you could get per week, but only from Ashran, seemingly forcing people who didn't enjoy it but loved PvP to participate. My server was the opposite but it sucked for my Alliance characters. Horde players for the most part didn't even bother going in because it was a slaughterfest and that's no fun. In fact in mine we did just that, and I got exalted status in about 2 hours.įrom what I saw at the time on r/wow and on the forums, Alliance seemed to dominate Ashran. There was also no respawn timer so they could basically do that all day. Horde could pull Grand Marshal Tremblade outside the garrison onto the ledge next to the bridge and kill her with little resistance because alliance couldn't get out to defend. There were also issues on horde/alliance advantages. I think at that time not many people understood how it worked, myself included. I got into Ashran shortly after launch when it was well-hated and pretty buggy. This also ended up helping me in leading guild raids and pugs, and eventually in Ashran. I also started leading in LFR and explaining fights for people who didn't understand them and are often too scared to ask. I try to talk in instances and raids and generally just being a good person. Meaning I try to help anyone who needs it. So I started using the philosophy I've been using in WoD for everything after hearing how "The community is gone" and "people are mean and rude" which is: Be the change you want to see. I also haven't found any on Alliance side, but then I don't play alliance much. I had been told to join premades, but couldn't quite get it to work right, and when it did there were usually hour long queue times. The problem I had though was being on the losing side. While there are some things that could be improved on, it's still pretty fun if you are on the winning side. Not sure how everyone feels about Ashran, but I really enjoy it.
