Plex remote access not working4/20/2023 I’d rather keep my VPN connection going 24/7 for Radarr/Sonnarr purposes, but I also don’t want to have to manually disconnect the Plex server’s VPN every time I want remote access. If anyone has any pointers or wisdom as to why the sudden change and/or if there are any fixes I would greatly appreciate it. But sure enough as soon as I disconnect from the VPN remote access returns. I tested it out and sure enough whenever my Plex server machine is connected to the VPN its remote access ceases. Whether I was connected to a VPN or not I could still load up media in Plex when not on my LAN with no problem. Cannot get remote access to work on the Plex media server through my NVG589. So this means phones/tablets/tv sticks with Android all can’t stream content from this Plex version. I have a FIOS G-1100 router, and Im getting a Not available outside your network error in my Plex Remote Access page. This is correct, the Plex version packaged by WD is over 12 months old and no longer works with the current android clients. I have reached out to Verizon and they were unable to help me with this. Before the router upgrade, I had no issues with the Remote Access feature. I am running the latest version of Plex on Windows 10. I am hard wired in so it has me scratching my head a bit. On that machine I run Nord VPN with a P2P type connection 24/7. I just upgraded to the Quantum Gateway with Verizon and now my remote access will only work for a few minutes - then stops working. Don't know what else to do, i just can't seem to make it work even though Plex says everything is working fine and remote access is turned on and actually has the green icon telling me it accessible.
